there was much celebration, hugs, laughter but the mood was hardly what I’d call self-congratulatory. It was refreshingly earnest as if everyone there, happy as they were about how it was turning out, recognized that we were all… all participating in a shared moment in history.

It should be to no one’s surprise that I’ll be casting my vote for Barack Hussein Obama on Tuesday. And while everyone from close friends to close family can poke holes at my reasons, I’ll share them with you all the same.
