Out of deference to my very good friend and colleague, @rbieber , I’d like to highlight an event that does some real local good in the northwest Chicago area.

Walla-Pa-Looza started out as a backyard party that expanded into a family-friendly community event focused on raising money to help local organizations and families in need, specifically those who are experiencing challenges related to cancer.

While most of my readers are distributed all over the country (and according to Google Analytics, Canada, ey?), a small donation to this local charity (even $5 through Paypal) makes an incredibly huge difference
