November Reign
Last night I received my first disbursement for August referrals of Spanning Sync for $160. In keeping with my plans, $80 is going to charities. I put $50 in Kiva for team Learning Ninjas and $30 to the Salvation Army. Brian was smart enough to organize a Kiva Team, and I’m going to start inviting the awesomely cool learning professionals we know to join up with us. Knowing that I just got August’s payments yesterday, I’m excited for the first of December when I should be able to donate a lot more. It’s nice to be in a position to (ahem) “redistribute the wealth.”
That $80 that I’m keeping? Together with some games I took back to Game Stop, it just bought the Guitar Kit for Guitar Hero: World Tour (I’ll have to buy the drums and microphone seperately). If anyone has a line on the drums and microphone for Guitar Hero, let me know — the band kits are all sold out around here and now that I have the game and the guitar, I really just want to round out the game so Logan, Suzy and I can have full band sessions.
My sidework tapered off a bit this last two weeks, so it’s been a quiet weekend to try and catch up with things like sleeping and playing video games. I have a more reflective post coming up, but I wanted to share the good news and encourage you all to check Kiva out.

Coolness. My earnings have ceased, I expect my first payment in the coming weeks. I was about a month after you, I think.
Glad you’re keeping this rolling – I plan to do the same as my checks come in.
As always, it’s an honor. Let’s catch up soon.
